God knows what he said for sure, though I'm sure he made a bombastic statement. You can bet the Jerusalem Post translated whatever he said into English using the most divisive connotations they could. Or at least I'd bet that. May well have been an emotional "explosion".
I'm not sure I'd get too concerned. Palestinian "explosions" of the type we usually associate with that word seem to be fairly small compared to an artillery shell, very small bomb, and so on.
