And, it seemed to me the farther out parts of the ideas were the author's, not the sources, bias. I could be wrong.

The source seemed to be saying that there weren't even good questions, yet, let alone good answers, and there was conflicting data.

I can imagine the author interviewing the source, and saying something like "Gee, global cooling is scary. What could be done? Is it hopeless, are we doomed, etc."

Source. "Not at all. We could sprinkle carbon black around, save food, and so on. Would be tough. Politicians are slow to act."

And have that reported the way it was. And, the source could have been convinced that in 30 years refrigerators would be called "heaters" or "food warmers".

I don't know.
