Just reordered the TV version of Dune on DVD. The new set is a lot better than the first set I owned not too long back, but if I had known a better one was coming out I would have waited.

Also found out there's a special 4-disk Lord of the Rings DVD coming in November. The original 2-disk release come out August 6. Argh. Do I wait three months to see it on DVD, or just bite the bullet and cough up for both?

This is becoming quite common lately, releasing newer and better DVDs than the ones you just bought. Can't wait to see how many versions the next Star Wars movie will come out in.
