You know, what with the "heat of battle" affecting you so much, and your needing special consideration for that, and the time constraints we all have, usually there just isn't the time to read your posts. I ALWAYS, though, make it a point to read the subject line. Don't want you to think I don't. I always do.
Responding to your subject line, I have to admire your ability to help the Bush Administration avoid responsibility for it's action. Somehow it seems to me that it is a real stretch to try to get out of having that particular event blamed on someone other than the Bush Administration. But you did it.
Their report, their watch, their everything. In the finest tradition of government, they aren't responsible. You aren't even saying they were drunk, or loaded on drugs. I have to commend you on your mental "flexibility".
I also have to add that this is seeming to be a pattern.
First Bush read it. Then he didn't.
EPA chief Whitman didn't know anything about it. Staff work.
Energy Secretary Abraham didn't know anthing about it. Staff did it.
Sort of like the 9-11 warnings, isn't it. Bush didn't know, Mueller didn't know, Tenet didn't know, Ashcroft didn't know, well, not much, not enough to worry about, Rice didn't know, well, vaguely.
Sounds a bit like Reagan, and Bush the First. Clinton just lied - didn't say he didn't know. Well, that would be tough, wouldn't it. "I don't remember what she was doing under the desk."
Probably better to lie.

Off Topic » in reply to Bowser, your extremist pals at the EPA did an end-run and snuck out a bs report.
Now, eb.
