Re: Philosophy answers :-)

Millions of young french students got these questions at their exams (to be allowed to universities: (dissertations; they can choose one of them):

Are politics a science or an art?

- neither. Politics is a self-singular so politics *IS* either a science or an art...

Do we better know the present than the past?

Unless we are Jacob Marley and offered a vision of Christmas - Present, Past, and Future, the rules are simple and well known.

It isn't proper to peep inside the wrapping of a Christmas Present, but we all know what Aunt Jilly gave us last year, and the year before, and the year before that, so we might just have another pack of embroidered handkerchiefs waiting for us...

Defending one's rights is it the same as defending one's interests?

a) - It depends if you're right or not!

b) - It depends who "one" is. If one is me, then there is no problem. otherwise I suggest "one" is in a moral dilemma...

Is language diversity an obstacle to understanding the people?

- It depends if you can speak the language or not.
