Now, below is a story of an Israeli ER. Since there are 3 to 4 as many Palestinians killed as Israelis, you would think there could be 3 or 4 stories about Palestinian ERs. Whatcha wanna bet the Israelis don’t protest this one.

The Israelis have been able to powerfully influence American media coverage for over 50 years, which has resulted in a population woefully ignorant of any other side in that area. People have been born, raised and even died not knowing the Palestinians have a legitimate grievance. I know I was raised with the myth of plucky Israel beset on all sides, etc. Moshe Dayan was one of my heroes.

The rest of the world has received more balanced information, and is able to see a different situation. This is one of the disadvantages of privately owned media which is subject to constant threats of boycott.
