"is some sci-fi real?" Well, lets see science fiction....

unless fiction has changed definitions...I'd say that's not a question worthy of debate.

Is some science fiction precognitive? Is some sci-fi portentious? Is some sci-fi inspiring? These are much better issues for discussion.

Limiting yourself to discussions on UFO's and Sci-Fi....unintentionally discounts UFOs and simultaneously besmirches Sci-Fi. A genre of fiction and writing is not really the place to discuss unidentified objects.

I agree this narrow band is almost like flypaper for folks who are blending fiction and reality into a feelgood conspiracy-mongers paradise...

I really don't mind the occassional debate about UFOs - (though it has been done to death on MSNBC) - but a forum dedicated to them would, I think, quickly become tedious... ;-)
