This guy just got married, right?
I'd bet there's more here than meets the eye.
The guy's clearly tough, smart and motivated. And, with no real shooting war on the order of WWII, Korea or Vietnam it's a bit strange.
If it were pure patriotism, you'd think he would want to tell his coach. Maybe he just wants out of the NFL, too, can't retire gracefully.
Maybe boot camp sounds easier than another spring training. Dunno.
Let's see how it plays out.
