I think creatively, and it is an expression of my views, which we all are allowed under the US Constitution.
>"Who, when they are President of the United States of America would wish to see world Armageddon? Why would they wish to rock the boat and risk public outcry of WWIII?"
Believe it or not....to your sleeping consciousness, MANY worldwide are afraid that any military intervention in Iraq at this time is very tricky and could lead to unforseen all-out warfare that will pit old enemies against each other.
With madness just a step away, I think their fears are justified.
>"What greater power do you think they seek? George HW Bush is getting on in years and is more content fishing for big fish not big leaders."
Of course the old man is retiring. After years of dicey CIA micromanagement and getting his way without any oversight or accountability, I'd want to go fishing too! He and his defense department cronies are ALL SET financially, AND their future generations.
Time to relax, reel a few in.
>"By all accounts if the Bush family planned to topple Saddam for WWIII why not do so in 1991? Surely, ......they would have acted then?"
And Bush took us to war, and it was nasty, but we should have done it then. He backed off.
He didn't excise the cancer THEN, when it would have been easier. That's what we were going to do back then......."get Saddam".
General Schwartzkof was livid when they called his forces back when he was within 100 miles of Bagdad.
>"All this conspiracy armageddon stuff is purely far-far-left imagination run amok."
No, it is very much in the consciousness of individuals world wide. After all, preachers have been warning us of the "end times" for years now. And everyone knows the dangers of our nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. It has NOTHING to do with "far-far-left imagination run amok"
Nice try though.
>"Do you think Bush would let a plane slam into the Pentagon, nearly taking out Rumsfeld, or destroy billions of dollars and thousands of lives?"
Of course not! But it appears that they didn't take the threat seriously enough. I'm sure NOW they feel some sense of guilt, and are trying to prevent anything like that happening again.
But they spend 30 BILLION dollars of our taxpayer dollars a year for something exactly like this NOT to happen.
And now they want more bureaucracy.
With no accountability.
It's easy to say "More money!", but there will be no accountability.
They should have just changed the way they did business between the agencies and upgrade their computer networks. Put in terrorist specialists at main offices. This new Homeland Security and TIPS is just another bottomless pit of boondoggerie. It will just confuse what already's not working.
And the Washington FBI chief who refused to allow the justice dept's access to that major terrorists computer when the FAA was blowing the whistle on him, got PROMOTED!
You'd think the administration would have his HEAD ON A PLATTER!
>"The problem is .....Bush is an ORDINARY man........His wife Laura is down-to-earth ..their ambition levels are much lower than the former first couples. "
To a degree yes.
But Bushie Jr. is just protecting all his father's cronies in the manner to which they are accustomed.
The White Mob.
>"We will fight to keep nuclear arms out of the hands of tyrants and maniacs. When we fail, we fail not only the US, but the world as a whole."
Try closing the barn door after the horses are gone.
WE created the nuclear bomb. WE created the largest cache of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons and we helped proliferate them worldwide, with our foreign policies. AND, it was easy for us to build the military industrial complex at home, with tax dollars from our citizens.
Defense industries have flourished here since WWII with little or NO accountability.
Yes, war, and weapons sales are good.......for some people. Those that make the money.
Just ask Cheney.......and Halliburton....for one.
(Who got the contract to "rebuild" Iraq after the Gulf War??)
>"The concept of Armageddon was a mistranslation. Armageddon is a personal battle fought between good action and destructive action - and is waged moment by moment by all of us, throughout our lives."
If you remember, years ago, I told you that this was what Edgar Cayce (the sleeping prophet)
said. He believed that we ALL would go through our own personal Armagedon, that it was an emotional and spiritual cleansing for each individual.
>"Think constructively,"
Yeah, I do; but I don't think like you.....AND, I'm allowed!
