You're not really the best adversary on this, since I know you're not exactly a Clinton fan either. Still, a few comments on your comments...

Lessee, who exchanged birthday gifts with "Kenny-Boy"?



Well, it wasn't just Bush. Enron was pretty much an equal-opportunity palm-greaser.

It was Rubin who was trying to get the Bush administration (Peter Fisher) to help him cook the Enron figures. He was refused. Might be interesting to call Rubin up for some interviews on the Hill, but don't hold your breath.

2. Who was in the White House when Adelphia and Global Crossing were making insiders like DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe rich, and concealed the bad debt from investors, the public and the government?

Normal fluctuations, until it "tanked" with GWB. Sort of like global warming, there is normal, and there is "tanked". "Tanked" with GWB.



I showed you the graph, and exactly where the turnaround was, i.e. the high point before and after which everything was lower. Considering the history of the market since the early '80s, I'm not sure where the objective level of "tanked" can actually be placed. Personally, looking at the whole graph, I'm thinking that the idea of "tanked" may be more psychological than anything else.

4. Who was in the White House when the Justice Department sought to destroy Microsoft, and the investors and employees who relied on that company?



No one sought to destroy MS, and the only folks who think so are the Raw Greeders. They loved Enron and WorldCom, too. Would have accused anyone with sense to trying to destroy them had they blown the whistle. Raw Greed is raw greed.



Wrong. The people at the Justice Department had the specific goal of snapping Microsoft into bite-sized pieces, and I can't think of anyone in the computer industry who would interpret it any other way. Microsoft's competitors, were of course, delighted at the prospect.

That be a lot of folks, including Clinton!!



Not a lot of folks. While the Reagan administration shares the exceedingly dubious credit for making Social Security benefits taxable for the rich in the first place, only Clinton raised them. A technicality to be sure.

Ah, that be RR, GHWB, and Clinton.

Companies give vast sums to everyone in Washington. It was the Clinton Commerce Department that called the shots, and given the Bush administration's odd reluctance to do anything remotely unpleasant to the former Clintonites, I don't expect to see prosecutions either.

Pardon me??!! That be Clinton. I've posted that other presidents have looted the White House, including LBJ and RR. The Clinton vandalism was minor compared to others, including Ford and Bush.

Okay, technically you're right, but we both know who we're talking about and what she did. Remember how Gingrich's book deal was treated by the press? This woman has her eye firmly on 2004, despite what you might hear from her office. I would vote for almost anyone else you could name, Republican or Democrat, in an eyeblink before I would see this creature as President.
