Creationalists seemed to have embraced science in an attempt to stab it in the back.

I found their ideas to be fascinating and entertaining contortions of fact, twisted to fit the confines of the biblical time frame.
Examples like “instant” petrified wood and Dinosaurs on Noah’s Ark are evidence that any credibility they may have is suspect.
They try to uphold the validity of Genesis, which seems to have a flaw. It states that God created the earth on the 1st day and the Sun on the 4th day, demonstrating a geo-centric understanding of the solar system.
They deny the possibility of life existing anywhere other than on this planet. Evidence of other life would shake the foundations of their beliefs. It makes me wonder if a manned mission to mars is facing more opposition than just budgetary constraints, public interest and now, the War on Terrorism.
