This is no surprise at all. Condo boards select for those fascist personalities that want nothing more out of life than to be able to tell people, who are usually smarter and more successful than they are, what they can and can't do with every last minor detail of their lives.
A remarkable number of such power freaks end up in politics. Guess which party.
