The "humanity" defense.

Yes humanity is cruel Bowser, it just seems its planetary zenith at this moment resides in the folks who have subscribed to the delirious rantings of a camel driver who experienced symptoms of a classic heat stroke, for far too long.

Yes most religions are based in ignorance of the world, of science. However at no point does this grant cover for individual horrendous acts.

Are you the sort of person who would justify the burning of Joan of Arc by saying other religions are burning people too?

Is it hate to point out these atrocities - or is it really hate to defend them?

If indeed this is your faith, then I can understand your position. You are stuck between the Koran and the posts here.

Barbarism is everywhere. Phil's series was a reaction to Oprah's PC jabbermouthing, while Larry posted a valid story of interest - because it helps to try and see into a culture and religion which is overflowing with age-old barbarism that fits humans living 2000 years ago.

Lawyers would love the form of defense you are attempting - "You are commiting a hate crime against my client by focusing on them when there is so much other violence in the world!"

Somehow though I don't think the jury will be sympathetic unless they are from South Central LA.
