Today my wife and I stopped at the pizza joint for lunch, which had the news feed playing on the big screen TV. There was a man being interviewed--I don't know who he was. He had on some buttons, including one with a picture of a young woman.

He had just heard that the New York Authorities had identified some of his daughter's DNA. He was overcome with--not happiness. Relief, maybe. Gratefulness. God knows. But the smile was broad and real--he was going to have his daughter back to take home.

Some pathetic fragments, probably scraped off of burnt metal, sufficient to identify on the molecular level. And this poor guy found some closure where he could.

Didn't enjoy lunch much.
