Re: Embedded Chips

My dog has an simpler version of an embedded chip which can be read by vets, the Humane Society, anyone with a "reader". The only information it has is a number which can be traced to the vet who implanted it who would then look up who owns him, though.

This technology has been around a while. I don't think it has a "write to" capacity, nor can it transmit anything beyond a few inches.

I wonder what the "locate" chips would use for power? That would be interesting. And as far as using them on people, I think my former wife would have been just as happy if they couldn't find me.
