I have known some Californians who made an exodus to the pacific northwest only to return 6 months later saying the day in day out rain was intolerable and horribly depressing, they felt like rats trapped in a cage...

Sunblok surely must have something to say about this - because UV shortages cause widespread depression in these areas. No wonder they all become liberals!
