Looks like they saw the handwriting
on the wall. Wonder how long it will take the other major houses to figure it out?
Publishing is a business, and they have to make a profit somehow. But the time has come for publishers to realize that electronic publishing is here to stay.
There will come, in time, a way to sell the product in a fair an reasonable way. With authors getting their just dues. One caveat, there is a high possibilitly that self-publishing with the web and file sharing may become the standard.
