Some folks follow the party line, some folks think for themselves.

Some people excuse their illegalities, some believe folks should be prosecuted for it no matter who. (It's called accountability, and applies to everyone, or should.)

Some folks think killing innocent civilians as an acceptable by-product of the struggle against killing innocent civilians, and others are aware it is immoral no matter if it's terrorists, the American military, Palestinians, Israelis, Russian.

The conservatives on this board, to a man and woman, do not believe their "side" can do ANY wrong, that conservatives should be accountable. (May be one minor exception, DS and the Israeli bombing of a civilian apartment house complex.)

If you read these posts, hear the drumbeat of "that's dumb" and "get real" in place of reason, and watch the lockstep of Rush Limbaugh's litany, it's very apparent there hasn't been a thought for oneself in at least a generation.

Nothing personal. Just the way it seems to work.

If you don't believe me, just look at the surprise at my post of the Democratic Party fine. A reasonable person wouldn't be surprised.
