Jefford's "switch" was part of a naked power grab by the Democrats in the Senate. Who got more money or power from his decision? Make a list. What did Jeffords lose? Jeffords, elected by Republican voters as a Republican, doesn't face voters, especially the Vermont Republicans, again until 2006. Meanwhile, he is a god to Democrats.
