Sure is. Most ad banners these days aren't just animated GIFs, they're small Web pages embedded in the main page (through an advanced HTML tag named 'IFRAME'). That page can have any script on it the author wants, and some of that script can be malicious. One common trick I see is hijacking your home page to be somebody else's using script.

This BBS doesn't allow script in posts because it could be used to do things to a user's browser without his/her permission. Ahem, I tested that this is indeed a threat by finding a BBS that did allow script in posts, and doing a little, uh, testing, yeah, that's it, testing. (OK, I admit that I discovered that I could lift passwords with script in this private BBS, but I didn't actually use the information, I promise.)

I guess the grandioseness of people killing people does not match up to perverted sexuality.
