Here in Torrance California there is a story about a kid who was run over and killed while riding his skateboard in the parking lot of a Right Aid store. He was lying down at the time and the driver of the SUV couldn’t see him at all. Every one was very broken up about it. People said if they had the Skateboard Park he wouldn’t have been in the parking lot. So they quickly found the money for the park and it is now under construction. They were even going to name it after the kid.
Then came along a lawyer. The parents are now suing the driver, Right Aid and the city for negligence, and wrongful death of their son. There are a lot of angry people around here now, and they have decided not to name the park after the kid.
People need to accept that bad things happen, and sometimes no one is at fault. The kid was a kid, fooling around like kids do, and that’s it. The damned lawyer is just in it for the money he will make no mater how it turns out.
