The belgians can cook
The first time I had escargot it was cooked by a belgian woman I knew. I had no idea what I was eating until afterwards. I've never lost the craving for snails in garlic sauce since. The one thing I had a hard time with was the blood sausage and the raw ground beef. They both tasted good, but it was a little hard to swallow. Of course there was no secret to what I was eating then.
I don't know what half the stuff she cooked us was, but it was all very good.
