My life doesn't change because of whomever happens to be the temporary resident in the White House. If yours does, then you should look at your life. This new administration doesn't bring out the best or worst of anyone who holds politics in the proper perspective.
At best, politics is a necessary evil. Politics is inescapable for even a small gathering, much less a nation. In the end, IMO it's still an evil that represents the worst aspects of humanity: powerlust and envy. Far more wars have been fought in the name of politics than any other cause, including religion.
