I'm listening to political commercials these days. They are on TV seemingly constantly, and have a remarkable sameness. I doubt there are many differences across the country.
One of the things which stands out is how many of these people have been "fighting" for me and my interests. These folks "fight" for schools, "fight" for parks, "fight" for health care, "fight" for secure retirements.
Why not point these "fighters" toward the Middle East, and let them just "fight" their little hearts out? I'd feel more secure for several reasons.
One, they wouldn't be here "fighting" for me, in ways I neither see nor understand. Second, they would be somewhere else with their "fighting".
If we all sacrificed our "fighting" politicians and wannabes, we might be able to sleep a bit more comfortably. The state capitals would be a saner, more peaceful place, and maybe we could all rest a bit easier. And who knows, maybe they could "fight" their way to some conclusion.
Arf (I'm afraid "fight" = "BS to death" as in "I'll BS to the death for your right to affordable healthcare".)
Our "fighting" forces.
