...make a serious retort a wasted effort.
I'll synopsize for you:
1.
Iraqi remote drones can be loaded on ships with WMD and launched within range of US shores. Bush did not mis-speak, but rather has to give short stump speeches and excluded the detail.
Bush did not lie. He's the President - he knows more scenarios than the media does.
2.
Estimates of construction projects whether made by the private sector or the government are still both estimates. I put greater faith in most private sector estimates than government estimates. The unemployment figure is an estimate and probably a good one. Estimates are not lies.
3.
The misquote of the source for the "6 months away" figure for an Iraqi nuclear weapon is understandable. Bush has been given so many briefings and likewise so many timetables it's a surprise he remembered the six month part accurately. To cast this as a lie seems to be the real stretching of the truth.
In a nutshell - this weak, whimpering article was a gift to democrats - knowing that many just read headlines and assume the content must be there to back such an assertion up.
If you hear pitter-patter of little feet - it's probably just the rats scurrying for cover as we head to, what will be, a definitive GOP victory for the mid-term elections.
Like Tom, I admire your diligence in putting these out there, but your hatred for "curious George - the little monkey " would make H. A. Rey and Margret Rey turn over in their graves.
Keep trying though, in Bush's second term there will be more media grist and hatred revealed as he puts up the missile defense shield, makes permanent the tax cuts and goes after Libya, Sudan and gets more involved in the Philippines.
