Oh, you meant the enemy's next escalation, not ours...
Attacking theaters doesn't attack the entertainment industry; it terrorizes the general populus - which is the goal of terrorism, isn't it... Theaters are "convenient", in that they concentrate a lot of vulnerable people in a small target. My guess is, that's why the Chechens took one in Moscow.
Now, if they went directly after Disney, or Time/Warner, or Sony, then they'd be attacking the industry, not its end-users.
