I agree with you that regional inequities exist. Farmers in eastern Canada can sell their product as they please; farmers in western Canada, on the other hand, are forced to sell through the Canadian Wheat Board, an institution which like the CPR which has aimed discriminatory policies at western Canada for over a century.
Want to level the playing field? Start by treating western Canadian farmers with some respect. You'd probably shock a lot of them into heart attacks.
