This might almost go on the space board. When I was a kid, Irwin Allen's TV SF was the coolest stuff there was. Hey, I was a kid, okay? There are still more than a few episodes of "Lost In Space" that stand the test of time. Would love to see "The Keeper" again. I used to look forward to the baby-sitting job across the street where they had...YES! A color TV! On "Lost in Space" night!

I was in college before I saw the movie "Forbidden Planet," and realized that Irwin Allen based almost everything he did on that film. Who knew?

Eventually, "2001" came out, and special effects took a quantum leap beyond Allen's best, but I still remember a lot of the old stuff fondly. And especially Dr. Smith.

Geeks will also remember Harris from his animation work in "Toy Story 2," "A Bug's Life," and "Freakazoid" (as "Professor Jones") among many others.
