Yes, it does. And except for the effect that would have on the judiciary, I'm not awfully upset. That will mean that everything bad that happens in the next two years will be the Republicans' fault, and there's bound to be a reaction.
On the other hand, keep your eye on the state races. My son remarked that the Democrats could do worse than to rebuild the party around the governors.
