Bill Maher is one of those people who alternates between infuriating me and having me agree with him. Some of his writing has been insightful, and his libertarian tendencies have been refreshing compared to others on TV, but he spent a lot of his air time on his shows kissing Clinton's butt, and that got old real fast.
You didn't miss much on "Politically Incorrect," which wasn't. The standard guest lineup was one liberal pundit, two Hollywood gasbrains, and one token conservative that everyone else could gang up on.
