We do live in different universes.
We each live in our own man-made universe. The laws of physics are different--not gravity, electricity, chemistry, but the real important ones. The ones that really matter. How else could there be such fundamental disagreement between such otherwise reasonable people. Unless, of course, they're all crazy, and you're not.
"We are by definition at the very center of [our] observable region."
It always looks different from wherever we happen to be standing.
Reach out, Tom. There are whole other universes out there. You don't have to live there, or go there, or even like it there, but you can't pretend they don't exist.
THAT way, lies madness.
