I think the DNC may have helped a lot, simply by ignoring the past.
Clinton's removal of Elion at gun-point is still remembered. It wasn’t all that long ago, and Clinton remains a bad word in many second-class citizen communities.
If the DNC will not learn a little something about their would-be constituents, their would-be constituents will cast a Republican vote.
