An article in the Vancouver Sun descibing the phenomenon recounted the experience of a photographer who spent 5 hours in the field documenting the phenomenon. He had thousands of spiders crawling all over his feet and legs, and decided to leave when his camera bag began to be covered by webs as he watched.
