From "All Things Considered" (scroll down to the heading, "Mecca.")
Commentator Murad Kalam made a pilgrimage to Mecca for Ramadan, and saw diversity there. He says he realized that the values of Mecca -- acceptance of all as equals -- are American values.
Obviously, since Mecca forbids anyone to be in that city who is not a Muslim, this is some new definition of "diversity" that I am unaware of. Sounds a lot like the "diversity" you get at American universities, where faculty are different colors and have different cultural backgrounds, but exactly the same left-wing ideas. Different packages, same contents.
As far as I know, no other city forbids entry by all but one religion. Even the most psychotic radical Zionists have never proposed keeping everyone but Jews out of Jerusalem.
And the "religious diversity" in many Arab Muslim nations speaks for itself.
