I read today that when Strom Thurmond was running for President in 1948, that the 22nd amendment limiting presidential terms had not yet activated (Truman could have run as many times as he wanted.) If this is true, and Thurmond had won in 1948, he could STILL be the goddam President. There's something to keep you awake at night...
