I remeber this from a story in Cycle or Motorcycling mag.

Some years ago when Honda developed the CSX, a 1000CC six cylinder inline street monster. This beast

The engineering gang made a trek to the local US Air force base and taped the sound of an F-16 at takeoff.

They then spent some time bodging out a set of pipes that made the bike sound the same.

The Marketing Dept finally decided this was too much and nixed the exhaust system, somewhere deep in Honda's massive storage buildings is a set of pipes that makes tone of their motorcycles sound like a jet fighter. Cooooooollll, what I wouldn't give............................ imagine, Joe Suburb with a van full of kids, and you blow by him sounding like that?
