for Larry and other strategists in the crowd
Just bought Hearts of Iron from StrategyFirst of Europa Universalis fame. Big game (like EU). Will take a long time to figure out my favorite path thru the tech tree.
I spent too many hours on it last night and it wouldn't let me (Germany) invade Poland without France and England declaring war in less than a month. Makes things difficult for the Axis. Germany must have oil! And you have to head SE to get it.
I'll start over tonight and try to go thru Czechoslavakia first (smaller and quicker to conquer).
One of these nights I might even get to bed before 3AM!
