A great way to brighten some Christmases very easily is to drop by the local Toys R Us and pick up a few items.
Then drop them off at any one of dozens of places collecting toys for kids who might not get any otherwise. There are many reputable outfits. The Salvation Army is one. They have a Christmas tree set up at our church with specific requests on tags that you can pick out and go get. Many fire departments and police departments do this as well. The Marines do it every year in some places. Heck, the Toys R Us store here has a tagged tree and a bin for the toys right there in the store. One stop shopping! No fuss, no muss!
I guarantee that wherever you live, there's at least one organization doing this. Watch the papers...they often mention places that for one reason or another are coming up short this year.
Take the kids. Mine love this. Toy shopping is fun even when you're giving them away. Hey, ESPECIALLY when you're giving them away!
Make it snappy...time's running out.
Hey, you little rat-faced Who over there. Pass the Roast Beast, already.
Hey, Santa. Yeah, Bud, I'm talking to YOU.
