Re: War is not supposed to be a nice thing

Interesting. To hear you talk one would think that no liberal or Democrat has ever caused anyone to die in a war. You want to pick that one up?

I'm no Bush-worshipper. As anyone would know who has been following my posts, I'm the first to ream him out when he steps off the conservative wagon (farm supports, illegal immigration, steel tariffs). I was pleasantly surprised by the aggressive tax cuts, and really expected him to come up with some half-assed approach that would have gotten him hated just as badly by the Left as what he actually did.

Now, as for Iraq:

I am no idiot, and can see that there is a big piece missing from the Iraq puzzle as far as general public knowledge goes. Bush and his military advisors act like they have a lot of information on Iraq that has not been released, neither to the press, or to the U.N. They also went along with the U.N. inspections, knowing full well that the U.N. could not physically find what they were looking for, and had no real incentive to try. Why?

I can assume that there is some good reason for keeping the whole story under wraps (the U.N. is no better a security risk than the press is), but with the shit about to hit the fan, maybe within the next month or so, at some point the rabbit has to come out of the hat, including the reason it was in the hat so long.

I'm giving Bush the benefit of the doubt on this. Most liberals aren't. But we're all waiting for the rest of the story.
