The authority value of blog postings can hover around zero, though I have noticed that the bitterness level is often quite high.
Also: criticism based on ridicule has a debate point content of about zero. Ridicule based on false information (such as the photo in question) has a value of less than zero. It discredits the argument except among the credulous.
Your comments on her actual, documented remarks are much more supportive of your point of view.
That was kind-of my point.
Fan of the classics, eh? Ever hear Leila Josefowicz play? Unbelievable! The link is to a collection of hers of works by American composers or about America, including a heartbreaking rendition of "Smile" (composed by none other than Charlie Chaplin), so contains a lot of jazz and ragtime. She has plenty of straight classical stuff out there as well. And her idea of maintaining the black/white wardrobe of classical stage performance is to wear black leather pants. Welcome to the next level.
