It's seems like your whole gripe against Sheryl Crow is locked in orbit around the fact that she wore a "War is not the answer' t-shirt, or maybe you were just going for cheap gags...
I've been a fan of Sheryl Crow ever since I heard "Run Baby Run" and several other cuts from her debut album while browsing for CD's one lost sunday in the early 90's, when I could afford 10 new cd's (or more) a month, and was always prowling for more of the silvery discs to add to my libraries of rock, classical, jazz, easy listening, ... you get the idea - lot's of CDs.
That first album of hers, "Tuesday Night Music Club" blew me away. I bought it on the spot and it remains one of my favorites. I'm less familiar with the rest of her work, but to bring some direction to this ramble, Sheryl Crow is one talented lady.
I was channel surfing a week ago when my restless clicking came upon two gals, one in a bikini, conducting an interview. The young lady in the brief attire was a knock-out - GREAT legs, beautiful smile with gleaming white teeth. When I finally succubed to the need to know more and jacked the V, I was rewarded to learn that the beautiful gal with the great shape was none other than Sheryl Crow.
So finally my points, two of them, no pun intended:
1) Sheryl Crow is much more attractive than either of those pictures indicate, dubious authenticity of the second notwithstanding.
2) In the final anaysis, I'm glad you posted that picture.
In addition to her beautiful singing and songwriting, and just as attractive as her great beauty, Sheryl Crow is blessed not only with a conscience, but also with courage.
My kind of gal.
