That could be a problem.
They are a staple in some areas of the world, relatively easy to raise and somewhat nutricious. And a big part of some rural economies.
In East Africa the bananas are small, and VERY sweet. Almost like a soft candy. I had a hard time leaving them alone.
(The pineapple over there is the same, with the centers as soft and sweet as the outside parts on the ones we can buy in North America.)
It would be tragic if they went the way of the Dutch Elm.
