Off Topic » in reply to How do you link a simple HTML form to a SQL database?

There might be another alternative

I've only done a little web programming so that's far from my area of expertise. I used Active Server Pages and Visual Interdev. It worked, but I hated the programming and testing environment.

I've never worked with it, but you might want to look into Visual Basic.NET, the current version of VB. I don't know if it'll do the job for you or not, but MS claims you can create web forms (pages) just as easily as you can create Windows forms in VB, then link them to a database, probably using ADO.net.

I've heard mixed opinions on VB.Net, so it may be the Next Great Thing or Another Manifestation of the AntiChrist. Check into it and see if it'll meet your needs. Let us know how it turns out (unless you're absorbed by the AntiChrist.)
