Even here in Goldwater country the librarians are mostly democrats. (When one goes to libraries often enough and one overhears to the chit-chat between librarians one can identify political views.*)

It seems you have really placed yourself in one of the most conservative libraries in the nation.

I probably would really like it there.

PS
The other day, I stumbled across a rare and unusual old library pamphlet with photos and ideas for setting up children's section book displays from 1963 (with such classic and corny examples for displays as "READING is A HOOT" with an owls eyes being the OO in HOOT.) I couldn't help but think of you as I looked through it and wondered what displays are in your library encouraging children to read?

*No, I don't intentionally eavesdrop but the "booksale" section is five feet away from the checkout counters and it is impossible NOT to hear what they are saying. Needless to say, Bush is not real popular.
