Not to appear racist, but a large percentage of murders in the Vancouver area are Sikh factions killing each other over drug turf.

And the Canadian justice system is sadly out of whack... consider this case in which two young guys were street racing, killed a pedestrian, and were sentenced to two years of "house arrest", which allows them to go to work or school, religious services, medical appointments, and an hour a day for working out... plus their pay cheques go to their parents, who then give them an allowance. Not surprisingly, there is a great deal of public outrage and the provincial government is wanting to change sentencing laws.
