This joke was actually done visually in the 1960's British "carry on" film series "Carry On Nurse"
So you're both 35 years out of date and also unaware of the history of the joke.
(I guess it was many decades old even then, when first it could be retold on film)
Who knows, it might even be a real even of ~1903?
