It sounds to me like you no longer have any contact with the men and women of our armed forces. All of the ones I've been fortunate enough to know are terrific, intelligent people--passionate about the well-being of their fellow citizens.
I find it very sad that you feel the way you do. In all honesty, I think you should seek out and spend some time with some of our people in uniform. It would do you a world of good.
