Normally I ignore Ted Rall, who is considered a psycho hose beast even by many on the Left, but this column was just such a perfect distillation of the motivations of much of this movement that it was worth linking to.
I have linked to many items proving that the motivation for many on the left is not anti-war as such, but a virulent and endless hatred of Bush and the Republicans. In this column, the Nazi references aren't even subtle any more.
The elections of 2000, compounded by the elections of 2002, drove many leftists literally over the edge with fury. Note yet again the term "non-elected," a bone that many liberals even now refuse to stop chewing.
Note also this revealing passage:
Losing to Third Worlders in PJs led Americans to decades of relative humility, self-examination and taking the moral high ground in conflicts such as Haiti and Kosovo.
"Moral high ground?" Haiti? The attachment of his lips firmly to Clinton's corpulent ass couldn't be more obvious.
I would love to know how Clinton got to be the God of the Left. He's not even a particularly good leftist, in terms of having a consistent set of principles, however wrong. Maybe he's all they've got now.
Ted Rall
