Re: I remember when...

When I was younger, it wasn't conservatives but socialists that were gleefully exporting "revolution" and their beloved Marxism to every two-bit nation they could raise an army in. There were probably a total of three Third World nations that didn't have some active "people's army" (funded by the Soviets usually) sneaking around in the bushes and taking pot shots at the ruling classes or worse. Fidel Castro had Cuban mercenaries everywhere.

All over my campus, the junior commies joyfully supported every last armed uprising.

Somehow, the Left never got its panties in a bunch about interfering with other nations using military force when that force was pushing their agenda.

Of course, it was okay for the Glorious People's Armies to bring down these fascistic governments, because they were evil and oppressed their people.

Nice to see the Left has gotten pacifistic and isolationist in its old age, but the shutoff of the Soviet Revolution Spigot probably had a lot to do with that.

Okay, I doubt if you were personally hawking Sandanista Sandals at a table in the student union, but there are plenty of others squawking about our uncalled-for toppling of dictators that were.
