IF it took the camera AND that camera was GI, not only is it AWOL, but is misappropriating government property. Otter be more careful. World of hurt.
Wonder what they do with an AWOL dolphin?
Bring it up before the Captain's Keel? You gonna get the Captain down there? I doubt that.
And what will you do with it when convicted?
Your basic brig would be cruel and unusual. So would bread and water. Maybe a straight diet of sardines and water, not kippered, no lemon and pepper, just the plain sardines. And water.
They'd have to forfeit pay. But if their pay is food, we're back to cruel and unusual. Could be counterproductive. Unless there were fines, and it was made clear they were expected to BRING FISH BACK to their handlers. That makes a bit more sense.
Reduction in grade and a fine of, say, 200 clams and a couple of dozen oysters. And bust 'em back a few ranks. No more Chief Petty Dolphin or Dolphin First Class. Back to just plain Dolphin Recruit.
(I wonder if they massage 'em. Would that be a "Rolphin' dolphin"? Maybe make them little clubs and have the "Golphin' dolphin"? Of course we already have the Miami Dolphins playing football.)
That dolphin is in more trouble than just a little bit.
Hope it's OK.
